IN CHRIST ALONE.
Artist : Brian Littrell
Song : In Christ Alone
In Christ alone will I glory
Though I could pride myself in battles won.
For I’ve been blessed beyond measure
And by His strength alone I’ll overcome.
Oh, I could stop and count successes like diamonds in my hands
But those trophies could not equal to the grace by which I stand.
Chorus:
In Christ alone
I place my trust,
And find my glory in the power of the cross.
In every victory
Let it be said of me,
My source of strength
My source of hope
Is Christ alone.
In Christ alone do I glory
For only by His grace I am redeemed.
For only His tender mercy
Could reach beyond my weakness to my need.
And now I seek no greater honor in just to know Him more
And to count my gains but losses to the glory of my Lord.
Chorus:
In Christ alone
I place my trust,
And find my glory in the power of the cross.
In every victory
Let it be said of me
My source of strength
My source of hope,
Is Christ alone.
This song reminds me of the verses in Phillipians ch 3 vs 7-11, my favourite Bible passage. My favourite verse is actually verse 10. However the verse that the song reminds me of is verse 7 "But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ."
I hope that this blesses you as you read it.

Hi Gail! I have been a fan of this song for years! My favorite rendition of it was sung by Michael English quite a few years ago.
Thank you for your faithfulness to our Lord. I needed to see that modeled today. Not that I am thinking of walking away or anything...I am just very weary and in a scary place spiritually.
His,
Jennifer

Hi centerpide/d4g, I checked your blog and posted under "We Fall Down " I then read that you are no longer blogging. Is this true or are you just dropping one name??

Hello Gail! I thought I had left a comment, I must have typed it up and not published. I'm getting a bit dizzy I think!
How are you doing this week? I finally managed to put my profile pic up.
Hugs and hugs.

Morning Gail.
I wondered if I could ask a favour? My Pastor in Guernsey, a wonderful man of God has been very ill with pancreatic issues for a number of years - he is such a man of God, and I noticed that the Church will be praying intensely for his healing from the week beginning July 31st-
I don't normally ask for prayer, but I feel to spread the word for breakthrough for him.
This is the blog addy for him

I hope you don't mind me asking - please dismiss if it doesn't feel right with you.

Hey, Blue, nice blog! I didn't even know you had one. Duh. I guess I need to come up for air once in awhile.
Has anyone heard Michael English's version of In Christ Alone? It was out back in the late 80's I think but the man sings the tar out of this song. Well, he kind of sings the tar out of everything . . .
