CRY OUT TO JESUS

M. Scott Peck, in his book "The Road Less Travelled ", begins with the words "Life is difficult".
I have had more than my share of difficulties in life and I know that some of my blog sisters are going through some tough times at the moment. I offer these words from Third Day as an encouragment to you. They have comforted me . May they be of comfort to you.

Cry Out To Jesus. Words by Mac Powell / Music by Third Day

To everyone who's lost someone they love Long before it was their time
You feel like the days you had were not enough when you said goodbye.

And to all of the people with burdens and pains Keeping you back from your life
You believe that there's nothing and there is no one Who can make it right.

Chorus
There is hope for the helpless Rest for the weary Love for the broken heart.

There is grace and forgiveness Mercy and healing,
He'll meet you wherever you are Cry out to Jesus, Cry out to Jesus.

For the marriage that's struggling just to hang on They lost all of their faith in love,
They've done all they can to make it right again Still it's not enough.

For the ones who can't break the addictions and chainsYou try to give up but you come back again
Just remember that you're not alone in your shame And your suffering.

When your lonely And it feels like the whole world is falling on you,
You just reach out, you just cry out to Jesus, Cry to Jesus

To the widow who struggles with being alone, Wiping the tears from her eyes
For the children around the world without a home Say a prayer tonight.

    Hi Gail,

Wonderful song, I'll have to search it out. It has great meaning in parts for me.
I have the Offerings album by Third Day and it was really good. I like "Your love, Oh Lord".

Oh Blue, this song has held so much meaning for me since it came out here. It is such an encouraging and comforting reminder of what we have in Jesus no matter what we are going through.
Thank you for this song today!

Bunnygirl, I like "Your love, Oh Lord" too. We went with our son to a University church on Sunday night and they sang it there. I had a good old sing along to it. (pretending I was singing with Mac Powell!!!)

That group is my favorite. We sing a few in church. Jesus is the answer. He is faithful. Thanks for your encouraging words. I'll write them on my heart and store them for such a time as that. God bless.

I love this song! After losing my dad and my husband within a five month span of time, I really leanred what it meant to cry out to Jesus. And, Third Day chose to release this song earlier than usual to help minister to the victims of Hurricane Katrina/Rita. Many people I know were affected by those tragedies. My school, a Christian school in a town that was not affected very much, opened our doors to hurricane kids for free. We saw some raw grief and hopefully they saw the love of Jesus in us.

    His,
    Jennifer

    Hey Blue!
Hope that you are having a great Monday! Things are toasty here in the mid 90's! Had a great service today on the passage in Luke 10 about Martha & Mary and our priorities. I will probably do a blog on it soon. Today I posted pictures of the horse show from the other week that I told you about and when Marcia visited. I joined a little survey group for one of the local radio stations today and they sent a questionaire asking us if we liked 15 different songs - the first one was 'Cry out to Jesus' and it made me think of your post here. Of course I clicked on 'Yes-I like this song' & on 'I would like to here this song more often'! ;)
    Blessings Blue~

    Hi Gail!

I just returned from the Divorce Care meeting at my church that I lead. There were many broken hearts there....two in particular. I am not sure they know Jesus, and I can't imagine surviving a divorce without Him. I can't post their names there, but God knows who I am talking about. Please lift them up in prayer.

    Thank you.

    His,
    Jennifer
